As founder of ARTCLASSCO, Jacqui Stockdale draws from her extensive visual arts practice to inform her teaching and mentoring. The 'mini art school' offers a range of short courses, workshops and masterclasses in the heart of Melbourne’s lively art scene in Brunswick St, Fitzroy. The focus is on the nuts and bolts of art making; painting, drawing, collage, mentoring, studio practice and life painting.  Regular classes take place in a cosy traditional art studio and attract students of all ages and levels. Satisfied students return over again and some endeavour to pursue representation in commercial galleries or exhibit on their own.

Graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts in 1990, Jacqui Stockdale is a highly regarded Australian visual artist known for her theatrical portrait photography, figurative painting, drawings and collages. Her practice explores cultural identity, folklore and the transformative nature of masquerade and ritual in society. Jacqui has exhibited globally, winning numerous awards, including the Doug Moran Prize 2012 and the Australia Council Barcelona Studio. Her work was presented in the Louvre in Paris in 2014 as part of 'Living Rooms' by guest curator Robert Wilson. She is represented by ThisIsNoFantasy in Melbourne and OLSEN in Sydney.

Jacqui has taught art all over Australia, including the Hobart Centre for the Arts, VCA and Darwin Correctional Centre, Benalla Art Gallery, Dandenong Shire Council, Artful Dodger's Studio, Geelong Grammar School, Linden New Art and CAE in Melbourne and the Victorian College of the Arts.
