Jacqui Stockdale, based in Melbourne, is a highly regarded Australian visual artist known for her theatrical portrait photography, figurative paintings, drawings and collages. Her practice explores cultural identity, folklore and the transformative nature of masquerade and ritual in society.
Jacqui has taught fine arts all over Australia, including the Hobart Centre for the Arts, Oenpelli, NT, Dandenong Shire Council, Artful Dodger's Studio, Fitzroy and Centre of Adult Education, Melbourne. She is the co founder of ARTCLASS CO in Fitzroy Melbourne involving excellent guest teachers and inspiring short courses and masterclass.Since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts in 1990,
Jacqui has exhibited globally, winning numerous awards, including the Doug Moran Prize 2012 and the recent Australia Council Barcelona Studio. Her work was presented in the Louvre in Paris in 2014 as part of 'Living Rooms' by guest curator Robert Wilson and her work has been shown at the
